2003: Ember To Inferno
La banda hacia presentaciones en lugares pequeños hasta que Brad decide dejar la banda y en su reemplazo llega Matthew Heafy que se ocuparía también de las guitarras. El bajista Jared Bonaparte se va y su lugar es ocupado por Brent Young que originalmente era guitarrista pero deja su puesto original para ocupar el bajo. Luego de eso , la banda firma un contrato con Roadrunner Records y consigue grabar así su primer demo.
Después de su primer demo, el sello discografico alemán Lifeforce Records firmó con Trivium para de esta forma grabar su primer álbum de estudio: Ember To Inferno, donde presentan un sonido mas orientado hacia el metalcore que sus albums predecesores, que están mas orientados al Heavy Metal e incluso, al Thrash.
Luego de varias formaciones, finalmente, Trivium queda de forma estable con Matthew Heafy en voz y guitarra, Corey Beaulieu en guitarra, Paolo Gregoletto en bajo y Travis Smith en bateria, siendo este ultimo el único miembro original.

2005: Ascendancy
Para 2005 graban su siguiente álbum de estudio: Ascendancy, donde dejaban un poco el metalcore del primer disco y ya se inclinaban mas al Heavy Metal.
Durante todo el 2005, la banda estubo de gira con importantes bandas como Machine Head, Iced Earth, Metallica ,Killswitch Engage y Fear Factory.
Ascendancy fue el primer gran éxito de Trivium, conteniendo grandes canciones como Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr, A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation, Like Light to the Flies y Dying in Your Arms. También, es destacable el excelente cover a Metallica, Master of Puppets.

2006: The Crusade
Para su tercer álbum de estudio es mínimo el sonido del metalcore, ya la banda se encontraba con un sonido mas inclinado al Thrash y al Heavy Metal , algo similar a Metallica.
Con este álbum, la banda consiguió mayor popularidad en el Reino Unido, llegando a tocar en festivales importantes como el Download Festival del 2005.
El album alcanzo el puesto 25° en el Billboard 200 de Estados Unidos y el 7° lugar en el Reino Unido. Destaco las canciones Entrance of the Conflagration, Anthem (We Are The Fire), Becoming the Dragon, To the Rats, Broken One y mi favorita de la banda The Rising.

2008: Shogun
Shogun los llevo a ser reconocido mundialmente, solo en su primer semana en Estados Unidos, el álbum alcanzo a vender 24.000 copias. Los temas mas destacados fueron Kirisute Gomen, Down from the Sky, Into the Mouth of Hell We March y uno de los mejores temas de la banda que és Shogun. Into the Mouth of Hell We March apareció en el juego Madden NFL '09 y Down from the Sky apareció en la banda sonora del juego de WWE, SmackDown vs. Raw 2010.
En febrero de 2010 el baterista y único miembro original de Trivium, Travis Smith anuncia que no estaría mas en la banda, y en su reemplazo llega Nick Augusto, ex integrante de Maruta y Metal Militia.

2011: In Waves
Para el 2010, Trivium anunció una nueva canción llamada Shattering The Skies Above , que formaría parte del videojuego God of War III. Al poco tiempo de grabar esta canción, la banda grabó el cover a Sepultura de la canción Slave New World.
El disco finalmente salio a la venta en agosto de 2011 y es sin dudas de los mejores trabajos que ha hecho la banda. Los temas mas destacados fueron Capsizing the Sea, In Waves, Dusk Dismantled , Shattering the Skies Above y el gran cover a Sepultura Slave New World.
